Men Sentenced For Growing Cannabis In Tehama County

Two men caught growing a lot of Marijuana on public lands earlier this year can count themselves lucky they weren’t on federal land, where penalties are much harsher. 28-year-old Dario Farias-Sanchez and 41-year-old Lorenzo Anguiano were arrested in Tehama County June 30th by State Fish and Wildlife Officers. The 2,900 plants were first spotted from the air. There were dangerous chemicals in use, water for the plants had been diverted from a creek, and a 9 millimeter pistol with an obliterated serial number was found. When officers got to the location one man ran away, but he was caught about two miles away. Both have been sentenced to 10 months in Tehama County Jail.
