Man Sentenced To 16 Months For Arson Fire At Red Bluff Gas Station

A Red Bluff man has been sentenced for trying to light fire to a convenience store. 32-year-old Miguel Lopez-Copas was arrested by Red Bluff Police July 30th. He was seen on security footage at an AM/PM store kneeling down and starting a fire, then throwing more paper on the fire to make it larger. Flames reached the corner of the AM/PM building and burned an exterior wall before it was extinguished. Lopez-Copas made a plea deal for felony attempted arson and has been sentenced to 16 months in state prison.
