A 22-year-old Corning man has been sentenced for abusing his infant child. Corning Police were informed by Enloe Hospital in March after a 2-month-old baby was brought in with numerous broken bones, internal injuries, chemical burns and head trauma. The baby was transferred to U.C. Davis for treatment. The father, 21-year-old Joshua Cornsilk, had sprayed the baby in the face with pepper spray. The broken bones and bruising revealed that Cornsilk had repeatedly inflicted serious injury on his infant child. He’s been sentenced to 6 years 8 months in state prison.
