SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) – California’s typical turnaround time for coronavirus tests has dropped to less than two days. State health officials said Thursday that level allows for effective isolation and quarantine of those who are infected to limit the spread. Health officials said two-thirds of the test results are now available fwithin one day, and nearly 90% within two days. That’s down from as many as seven business days last month. Improvements in capacity and turnaround will allow the state to soon begin what is commonly called surveillance testing.
