Shooting Reported As Residents Were Fleeing Fire In Happy Camp

As Happy Camp residents were frantically evacuating on Tuesday, one man reportedly let his temper get the best of him and he’s now in Siskiyou County Jail charged with attempted murder. Sheriff’s were called to Lower Airport Road in Happy Camp concerning a dispute over reckless driving. One of the men involved in the argument has suffered a gunshot would to his arm. The other man, 36-year-old James Ryan Tivis, was taken into custody and a handgun was seized.
