A fast moving fire turned a hay barn into a huge inferno in Downtown Cottonwood Tuesday morning. The Cattle Incident broke out near the Auction Yard and quickly ripped through about 5 acres grass heading towards Trefoil Lane. A large hay barn owned by Diamond D Feed Store on Main Street caught fire and went up in flames and other structures were threatened but forward progress was stopped there by an aggressive Cal-Fire response.
