Redding Man Killed In Bicycle Crash In Oregon

A Redding man suffered critical injuries and another man was killed when their bicycles were struck on a highway in Oregon. 42-year-old Jason Dixon was pronounced dead on scene and Robert Hammonds, a 52-year-old Redding attorney, is hospitalized with life threatening injuries, according to KOBI-TV in Medford. Sunday afternoon the two were riding bicycles northbound along the side of Highway 101 just north of Coos Bay when a woman from Florence allowed her Nissan pickup to drift over the fog line and strike both bicyclists.
