A vegetation fire next to an East Redding industrial zone spread quickly through dry grass Thursday night. Redding Fire Department was called a little before 7 O’clock to Innsbruck Drive. Within ten minutes they had the fire contained to about a half acre. Fire investigators tracked the origin of the fire to metal grinding operation at a commercial building next to the field of dry grass. The fire also caused about $4,000 to a building.
