Just in time for business re-openings, there’s suddenly a lot more parking in downtown Redding. Half of the former site of the two-level parking structure is now the South Parking Lot of “Block 7” at the corner of California Street and Placer Street. The 75 space lot, owned by McConnell Foundation and K2 Development, provides much needed parking after the demolition of the previous structure. Next week the DASH shuttle service will begin to ferry shoppers from available parking blocks away to the downtown business district.
