CHP Arrests Wrong Way Driver On I-5 After Pursuit

Southbound Interstate 5 was completely shut down in the Red Bluff area Wednesday when a driver being pursued headed the wrong way. Just after 2PM the CHP was chasing a Ford Fusion from the Corning area driven by a man in a safety vest. They reached speeds of 115 miles an hour approaching Gyle Road until a spike strip flattened two of the tires. The driver then crossed over into the southbound side and continued north until he was captured at around 2:30PM.
