A passenger in a speeding SUV was killed in a rollover crash in Siskiyou County Tuesday morning. At 9:21AM a 46-year-old woman was driving a 2016 Toyota 4Runner southbound on Interstate 5 in the slow lane south of Louie Road at 75 to 80 miles an hour when she allowed the vehicle to drift onto the shoulder. It began to slide in the gravel before careening out of control across the southbound lanes into dirt median, where it rolled over several times. The 47-year-old man in the passenger seat was not wearing a seatbelt and was fully ejected. He suffered fatal injuries. The driver was seatbelted and her injuries were minor. Drugs and alcohol are not suspected. Both the man and the woman are from Weed. They’re names have not been released.
