A group protesting the use of masks while demanding the reopening of the economy actually caused a business to close it’s doors for a while on Saturday afternoon. It’s not clear why the protesters chose to gather at Sprouts Market at the Mount Shasta Mall. They were protesting mask mandates, which have been enforced inconsistently at various businesses. Sprouts has a strict mask policy and when the protesters decided to take their demonstration inside, management decided to close the business. A large police presence turned out to be sure things remained peaceful.
