2PM Friday: Shasta County COVID-19 Alert Level Drops To Stage 2

Shasta County added 10 new COVID-19 cases Friday for a total of 531. The new patients range in age from teenagers to a man in his 90’s. The new cases include two teenage girls and a teenage boy. Public health says that the county’s alert level has been downgraded to stage 2 due to a decrease in reported cases. Four of the new patients had symptoms and there are currently 5 people hospitalized, with 4 in intensive care. There are 32 active cases and 199 people are currently isolated due to possible exposure. 11 people have died from COVID-19.

Butte County reported 3 additional deaths on Thursday for a total of 17, as well as 41 new cases for a total of 1,537. Trinity County has had 8 cases. Tehama County has had 356 with one death. Glenn County has had 424 cases with 3 deaths. Lassen County has had 78 cases in the community, in addition to 625 in the prison population. There have been 115 in Siskiyou County and 333 in Humboldt County with 4 deaths. Modoc County has had 5 cases and all have recovered.
