A resident of Rancho Tehama Reserve has been sentenced for starting a fire inside his own home. 29-year-old Darin Anthony Madden was arrested June 3rd by CalFire for starting a fire that burned part of a trailer and spread to vegetation. He’s been sentenced to 2 years in State Prison. Madden had previous run-ins with the law, including in 2018 when a Tehama County Deputy investigating a burglary knocked on his trailer door and Madden fired a gunshot inside. That prompted a SWAT team response and a 5 hour standoff before Madden surrendered.
