Body Pulled From Whiskeytown Lake Identified

The body of a Weaverville man was pulled from Whiskeytown Lake Thursday night. The Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as 67-year-old Charles Michael Colburn. His body was found in the water near the intersection of Highway 299 and Whiskey Creek Road, according to officials. Colburn had been reported missing Thursday evening at around 8:20PM, and his body was found at about 10PM. The case remains under investigation by the Shasta County Coroner’s Office and the National Park Service.
