Toddler Flown To Enloe Hospital After Being Struck By Pickup

A toddler appears to have been fortunate in suffering only minor injuries when she was struck by a pickup truck in Corning, according to the Corning Observer. The 2-year-old was with her mother visiting from Los Angeles at 10:30AM Monday morning when she ran into Marin Street. She was hit by a Chevy pickup driven by 64-year-old Maria Martinez, who was likely going below the speed limit, according to Corning Police. The girl suffered abrasions, cuts and bruises, and was flown to Enloe Hospital in Chico for further evaluation.
