Red Salmon Complex Of 3 Fires Grows To Over 7,000 Acres

Federal firefighters are slowly gaining more containment on the Red Salmon Complex, burning in the Trinity Alps Wilderness on both the Six Rivers and Shasta-Trinity National Forests. There are now 3 fires in the complex with a combined 7,053 acres and 35% overall containment. A red flag warning is in effect through today over the area. Forest Service crews are using minimum impact suppression tactics to protect natural and cultural resources.
